Val replies to Pedro

Of dismal spirits I have been with, dark recesses in my mind that spook me even in the day, I try to forget and cannot and thus each day I find myself distracting me with anything that is not unplesant, for of suffering, I have had enough! Then when I have played my fair share, winding myself deeper into caves I have explored for this is what is said to be an adventure, then the unfulfilled heart comes out from the shadows, the fireflies light up the way back from where I first experienced pain. And what a pain! Such agony. But I did not fully understand such torture, how could I? I simply tried to bury it, and now the dead they look at me with eyes not judging and yet my heart is open I am shown the secrets I have buried: what grave danger awaits, when pleasantries is the only answer, and meanwhile night's watchers grasp me by my legs, thrown me overboard into the river Lethe. Forget my troubles, I cannot for it is one and the same, my suffering and my soul entwined together which I have not grown, from a baby to a distraction ... ... of many flowers and daisies blooming. Beneath the thick stench of corruption overwhelming and now I grasp my heart, my suffering and see the silver lining.
