Jeff's Poetry

Privacy

This is a small personal poetry site. Here's what it keeps, in plain words.

When you comment

Your name, comment and website (if you add one) are shown with your comment. Your email address is never shown or shared. It's kept so the site's owner can reach you if needed. Your approximate city, worked out from your internet connection, is saved with the comment to help spot spam.

When you visit

The site counts page views to see which poems are read and roughly where readers are. For each visit it notes the page, the site that linked here, your device type (phone, tablet or computer), and an approximate location such as a city or region, based on your internet provider. Your internet address itself is not stored. A random visitor code that changes every day is used to count unique visitors.

Cookies

One small cookie protects the comment form from abuse. There's no advertising and no third-party tracking.

Removing a comment

If you'd like a comment of yours removed, get in touch and it will be deleted.
