pieces of you

October 24, 2025 · Mind

a puzzle i thought solved, or that i had all the pieces that you withheld in your heart, the mind games played but you self deceived and that is benign because the skin looks flawless beneath: lies a million, too many to count i could not decipher since i was always told to follow that makes a good servant, puppet, not an independent thinker an equal you would not want how i mistook that for love, the fool plays his role, bows out quietly because the words not reconciled is the eternal gulf that spreads between heaven and hell, you can take the labels, you always like that upper hand. as for me, pieces of you is no longer what i want when it has always been what you did not say that said it all.
