what's the worst that can happen
and i bet you it is not anything the stars said,
the stars like to lie, especially on important things
such as these. it is calculated between two knots,
that stretch of time is all it takes to make a nod,
the same speech carried here, becomes a death sentence
just across the garden. you know, the flowers that
nod off in the night when bumble bees decide to ruse
, to make pretend that catching honey was an end game.
it never is. the tails get spun again, this time the heights are heigher,
the lows lower and the earnest man has become laden
with words and ink, he no longer scrambles for the truth.
the fact that he could hear the bees says a lot - sometimes you
just have to wait it out. then the euphoria began again, almost like
a heart beat. the one you hear when the boogey man is out
prowling for his next wonder delight, of life being immersed in
this slumber land: let cats sleep won't you? the last one got out
of the bag and nearly ruined me! and oh my god of course did not
help. when the wall is as quiet as ever. surely you did not intend for it to speak?
then the cracks were heard, you know the ones you hold your lies so
carefully stitched with truth, they never find it here. then the cracked
images of a lofty cloud began to really sink in - you can't stop it. it is there,
everywhere, even the ones you thought were not looking. they're here already,
you know in your fantasies as you try to grapple with words that seem
to be more than they are. and maybe they are. that's the conspiracy isn't it?
the angel and demon mixed breed, human smiles begin to lose their
fresh taste. it's now all sour, like pudding and nothing is puked out all right.
it is just there, swimming in your head, and a line begins to connect dots
not there. it's always a connection. sometimes they are there, and while the
taps begin, the time fairy eventually says it is midnight. and that's when
the unraveling begins, you know all those words plastered like they were living
gods - each piled up neatly in your room, they play dead, no longer responding
to prayers heard across the universe. it just wasn't fair.
