the many layered truths

May 12, 2026 · Stage

burnt caramel with creamy chocolate on the inside, with liquid chestnut tuckered still deeper within drizzling cherries ripe flowing like rivulets while the sugared crust hardens then cracks. like the mouth chomping away, a hideous grin, a gleam then a glaze as fresh life pours inside one stale choppy gesture of enjoyment but the rehearsal is getting old, dry, a loop over and over till even the grin cracks, with a hardened heart falling heavily on ground no longer able to withstand the footsteps tepid weak, having been abused, used, tried, placed on trial, came out scorched with laments, scathed - rent asunder a broken heart tries to pump out bitterness, angst, unfulfilled yearnings when an audience remains with plastic smiles forever etched in the mind still looping over what happened yesterday of that top crust becoming dribbles of sweetness the spectators crave, long for, reach out then place their hands on their laps like it did not matter. eyes gleaming, glazed, blurry, grayed out, zoned in to the spirit crawling to a bottomless hole spitting out toxic fumes, hideous ghouls grasp at the tormentor no longer caged in that still chomping jaw making their final spastic movement of heavenly delight to a crowd swooning. we want sugar.
