open wide the gates

May 24, 2026 · Stage

when ambiguity is red petals, not the blood orange fruit swollen with pus. when a slip on hard concrete simply happened with eyes not taken off - that distraction. when hard earned cash is merrily waving goodbye due to a rainbow promise unverified. when loving demeanor becomes an angel under the skin riddled with possibilities. when passion melts cold logic when logic dismantles instincts when instincts is outsourced to the cheapest vendor when a cheap vendor was even cheaper in service when service becomes a thorn in the heart. then the cheer squad comes out in formation then the parade is heard with thumping sounds then the mind begins to unravel - not enough cheer and iron fist to squash down this revolution! and they're all in now: like maggots sucking out marrow. and they're disconsonant, disenchanting, discord, disavow, a cacophony of hyenas chocking large rocks, wheezing like half hearted elephants running uphill. with a troll sitting in the largest throne with a baboon making faces while playing tic tac toe on your favorite chessboard with a fat lady digging for more sweets in your secret candy bar no longer hidden come recognition of the panhandler, come recognition of the stranger with a license, come recognition of a flirtatious woman and they were all quite tame when they came knocking.
