a shadow of doubt when pale detaches from ink stains, memories fragmented with time's passage breaking a hull. unable to travel more even as waves keep pushing forth, locked within this cove, sinking slowly while the skiy blue remains and nothing else. a lock of hair drops to the dry earth unable to digest the message to be conveyed, then gets mixed in, swallowed with dirt and debris till only footprint cover what should have seen air vibrant. dulled, loopy, forlorn, wilted barely recognizable from the stamps of life thrown all around, made known, quite colorful unlike what is not missed, loved, to be forgotten when time moves on, with debris left behind. could it be made alive again? a hint, a frown, a speech made of many layered meanings a crunch, a bite, a mastication, lump forms on the throat for the bone is stuck, gasp, throttle with debris vomited, thrown out, slammed back to shadows slightly anxious, deliberated actions, hesitant to a period. of what may be, possibility, could, but, should like two sides of the same coin where the god face, the devil twin both mutter words of deception, half truths, the cup is never filled till it gets downsized. but that's not the point is it? what is, at hand, the present not to be traded for whimsical, meaningless not mine or yours stretching forth like the blue sky eternal promises kept in that far off space, tucked beneath these inkstains, belief shakes hands with reality, truth is tied up in that lock of hair now hidden beneath layers of footprints.
