downplay the irksome

i hear it works wonders, just delete, erase - like it never happened did it not? the mind wanders and corridors snake about, it did, squash that gnat, there problem solved! elation, wonder struck, a rolling stone heats up and moss turn to ashes - puff, smoke snakes in the air, tendrils coiling, tightening on waist, a belly no longer protrudes, and a red faced man sputters, spittle's drools ... ... what have you? wake up, the nurse brushes moist skin, a cold icy towel presses upon the forehead, you're running a high fever, snakes, in the mind, but they were dead, the man tried to recall, but even memory is failing. why? and snakes, they fed on his mind, his heart, his flesh, you're not a god, though you sure act like one, when? being adult thought a teenager means i can do whatever i want now - what? soon realizes new clasps on his ankles, hands, chains yank about, sways the human form in disbelief! not again, as he is hurtled into an abyss, no, no, no and thus cast reality into a cauldron, shaped the smoke, tendrils igniting moss still green, damn green falling into one pit hole after another. let loose, a yowl, i can be anything, and the snake smoke went into his head, you played god long enough a man stifles a laugh, i did what i thought best, and the darkness smiled - and we liked it.
