Pug meets Val in the Lake

September 26, 2023 · Unfold

Pug was dashing by the trails, eager to get the dogs chasing him to lose their scent and he splashed into the lake. How refreshing and cool. How clean the taste and he wore the thick jewel of a merchant he had just slain. Already his mind was to market that gold in the nearest town. Soon. Soon, he told himself and the life of a rat can be over. And nearly collided unto a partially naked man! Look out there, the man shouted and they quickly became acquainted. The man introduced himself as Val and Pug was rather shocked when Val heard his stories and made no plans to apprehend him for it was widely known that Val was a prominent enforcer of the law who hated the likes of Pug. Must be reformed, Pug thought.

Val wakes up in a daze

September 26, 2023 · Unfold

A woman was wiping at his forehead and he tried to remember why he was in this place with her. Was he not in a temple? And the worries dissipated as he found her friendly and non threatening. They started to chat and soon found that the conversation was filled with sparkles, intrigues and tales. Lilith was a delightful companion and he found the rivers and trails nearby to be comforting when she was around. He soon found his quest meaningless for life was getting better and he was no longer angry at the wrongful dead. Let the dead be buried in the past, she said. And he believed that. Many moons passed and soon Val found himself a lot older.

Lilith meets Val

September 26, 2023 · Unfold

Out of the shadows, a knight appears although he is sound asleep. The shadows retreat and now only Val sits with her in the room. Foolish knight! He had gone to the temple of the cult and had become ensnared by playful spirits willing to toy. Toy, he was even if he did not know it yet for already Lilith could feel the power exuding from the handsome man, a man of valor on a mission! His shiny armor denoted wealth for it had the insignia and mark of those born of the noble class. She smiled.

Val makes his move

September 26, 2023 · Unfold

Ahead from where the forest stood was a temple of sorts and I've decided to explore the sanctuary although it is hard to tell these days if this is the accursed place where the wild spirits come for it is said that they can come in many colors, appearances are deceiving and while the rest and shelter is sorely needed, those who have stayed too long in the damned dwellings find themselves slowly changed. It starts from the inside. A seed of doubt.

Pug enters the dark road

September 26, 2023 · Unfold

How free, how cool, the birds are dead along the trail and Pug picks each skeleton up, chews on the bones. It is still quite tasty he thought. Pleasure pulses through him as the enchantment slowly takes effect for the road has long been bewitched, been cast with an awful spell. The corpse and the decomposing bodies look like fresh cakes to the lively adventurer who sees only what he wants to see.

Lilith opens the door

September 26, 2023 · Unfold

What cowardice! Lilith slams open the door, without a key. It is pointless to knock when the inside could be something worth while, worth the slam. Slam, slam, slam. Steel like gazes open the door, she slams it open and finds the room and begins to inspect each and every artifact. For here she has found a kindling, a spark of life, a memory kind, a fondness of something missed she did not know, the mind begins to wrap around each artifact and she laughs genuinely for the first time. The room begins to darken, to heat up but she is very busy with her new toys and does not notice that the heat has increased.

Val meets embryo

September 25, 2023 · Unfold

I remember a long time ago, I was once wishing upon a star, truth be told, that was quite silly because dreams do not come true and hard work and luck plays big roles to outcomes and yet

Pug decides to sleep

September 19, 2023 · Unfold

What a tiring road, they seem to go on forever, time does for the one still alive and waking up the usual norms is just stale, mundane. I want to rest, take a hike, go to the cliffs and find corpse buried with gifts. Love ones like that, placing these gems when the dead can no longer feel, as if to make up for lost time. How foolish. I will rest in the temple.
